Accessibility
Making creative tools easier to use, with honest information about remaining barriers.
Our approach
We want people using different devices and input methods to be able to explore the site, understand controls and work with their patterns. Accessibility is ongoing work. We have not completed an independent accessibility audit and do not claim full WCAG conformance or certification.
Current support
- Responsive layouts and text that can be enlarged using browser zoom.
- Text labels for many form controls and buttons, with standard keyboard interaction for inputs and menus.
- Headings, navigation landmarks and alternative text for content images.
- Status messages for several saving, conversion and form actions.
- Text-based color quantities and downloadable project data alongside visual previews.
Known limitations
The drawing and conversion canvases are strongly visual. Individual cells are not yet fully exposed as a keyboard-navigable grid or a screen-reader equivalent, and drawing currently relies on pointer input. Color swatches can be difficult to distinguish without additional labels. Generated images may have limited descriptions, and some language pages contain untranslated sections.
Keyboard focus, contrast, error recovery and assistive-technology behavior still need broader testing. These limitations may prevent some people from completing a task independently. A text materials list or JSON export can offer additional information, but is not a complete alternative to an accessible editor.
Tips and alternatives
Use your browser’s zoom controls to enlarge content. Form controls can normally be reached with Tab and activated using their standard keyboard actions. The designer provides undo and redo shortcuts when focus is not in a text field. Save or export work before refreshing if you are uncertain whether a change was stored. If the canvas blocks your task, describe the intended result in an accessibility report so a suitable alternative can be considered.
Report a barrier
Use the contact page and select accessibility feedback. Include the page URL, the action you were trying to complete, the browser/device and assistive technology if you are comfortable sharing it. Explain whether the issue blocks the task or makes it harder. Do not include medical information or other sensitive details that are unnecessary to reproduce the issue.
Review and improvement
Planned improvements include keyboard access to individual cells, better nonvisual descriptions of pattern data, clearer focus states and testing with assistive technologies. These are priorities, not claims that the features already exist or promises of a specific completion date. This statement will be revised as verified improvements are delivered.
